Parenting twice exceptional children is complicated.Don’t do it alone.
Our process replaces guesswork with understanding, connection, and competence.
If this sounds like your home:
- Laundry undone, scrambling to get dinner on the table, wishing for family dinners but settling to just get some food into your kids.
- Homework, chores, and teeth-brushing are a battle.
- You get conflicting advice from everyone, and almost all of it focuses on your child’s behavior. Not on their brilliance.
- You feel powerless during meltdowns and perfectionism spirals.
- You wish you could partner with your child’s school, but it’s rare that a teacher even knows what 2e is.
- Or you’re homeschooling, and struggling to keep your child motivated and on task.
- You’re sick of bribing and consequences and cajoling as your only tools.
You’re not alone.
If you wish your child was born holding an instruction manual in their hand, you’ve come to the right place. The Gifted and Distractible Course is a blueprint for parenting your child. We lower the temperature on stress and increase joy in your home. Stop parenting alone.
In this 8-week course, parents learn a structured and strengths-based approach to identify and resolve triggers, to deepen relationships, and to strengthen self-confidence.
My book, Gifted and Distractible, has more than 200 pages of strategies. This course is where we put them to work and teach you how to implement them right now.
Each week, you’ll learn something new, and you get to do it at your own pace. I’ve recorded several digestible webinars, chunked so you can listen to them on the go: in your car, when you walk your dog, while you fold laundry, or while waiting in the carpool line. Then we meet live four times for 90 minutes each time to discuss what you’ve learned. You’ll use the complimentary and comprehensive workbook I wrote specifically for this course to record your thoughts, your questions, and your progress.
By the end of the course, you’ll have deepened your understanding of your child so you can implement meaningful strategies, and advocate to teachers, to in-laws, to your partner, to anybody who’s in your 2e kid’s life, so they deepen their understanding and utilize these best-practice, strengths-based strategies.
Let’s extinguish your stress and help your child’s self-confidence and self-love BLOSSOM.
"Prior to joining the course, I felt like I was on an island raising kids nobody else really gets and clueless as to how to best support and advocate for them. Connecting with other parents gave me assurance and tons of hope that we are not alone in this."
