Hyper-giftedness is rare: only one in a thousand people has an IQ above 145. Because this group has different characteristics and needs than the ‘normal’ gifted group, Talentissimo was created. The goal is to connect gifted children and adults through activities, knowledge and coaching so that they can ultimately create a meaningful and happy life for themselves.
What exactly is the difference between giftedness and hyper-giftedness? It is a question that is often asked to Talentissimo, also by HBO experts. As far as we are concerned, it is more than just an IQ above 145. The differences between hyper-gifted children are large. In all areas: learning, outlook on life, interests. One basic principle is important: there is no such thing as the hyper-gifted person. Intensity, complexity and speed is what binds them, but this can take all kinds of manifestations.
Are there any suspicions of (hyper) giftedness and do you want to know whether that is a factor? We conduct intelligence research and look into possible double diagnoses.
As a hyper-gifted person, it is not always obvious that you are comfortable in your own skin or that you achieve results that match your talent. Talentissimo guides children, parents and schools.
Want to know more about (hyper) giftedness? At your school, at your youth care institution or municipality? Or on location at Talentissimo? We have plenty to learn, read more here.
To facilitate more contact between gifted people, Talentissimo regularly organizes fun activities, courses and workshops for different age groups.
